Senior Consultant Obstetrician, Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology, Weill Cornell Medicine, Qatar, Osric is a senior clinician currently working in the Middle East. He completed medical training in Nigeria, post graduate training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and sub-specialisation in Maternal and fetal medicine in Leicester, UK. He brings a world view to HELPS Global Association. Osric is passionate about maternal health and volunteered with various charities as a trainer in emergency Obstetric care in various African countries. As foundation training program director in a large UK deanery, he was actively engaged in teaching and training newly graduated (foundation doctors) to undertake the role.
Osric strongly values the role of mentor having directly benefited from one himself. In his time as clinical lead for labour ward in one of the largest maternity units in Europe, he engaged with the Afro-Caribbean community locally providing opportunities for hospital attachments and mentoring local students.
